Since this is our first time to blog, it was hard to know what to write about. Do we share about our ministry and ways God is graciously using weak vessels like us? Do we share about our lives and our family of two and the quirky things that we do together? Do we share about our travels, or our hobbies and interests? After much debate we finally decided- let's just do all of it! It is too hard to separate all these different things going on in the life of the Iversens, and we know that God doesn't separate them- He is with us through it all!
A verse that would sum up the season of life that we are in is Psalm 31:14-15a "But I trust You Lord. I say, 'You are my God.' My times are in Your hands." We are in route to The University of the South Pacific in Suva, Fiji with The Navigators, however we are waiting for our visas to come through. As we are waiting, God has given us the opportunity to work in Colorado Springs this summer with college students from all over the world at a program called Global Student Program. We trust God will use this time to continue to prepare us for what He has in store for us in the future. So, that's where we are starting and we will work hard to keep you in the loop of our lives. The Iversen Times truly are in God's hands!

Thanks Tom! It was great to see you in the office the other day and we look forward to seeing you and Lisa very soon!
DeleteWill be fun to follow as God continues to lead you. Your tv went to its new home this afternoon ~ a single lady who was very thankful for your gift. This connection was from our neighbors' involvement w/ a community group called Beyond Welfare. Two guys picked it up and delivered it to the woman's home.
ReplyDeleteMissing you guys already, but thankful for your new assignment from the Lord.
Thanks Sharie! Thank you too for passing on our TV, we are glad to hear where it went and hope that it continues to work for a long time! We miss you guys as well and hope that you are doing well!
DeleteIt's been a while since you came into Westminster and blew us all away with your sharing... great to see you are making yourself available for the Kingdom. Blessings to you for your summer and travels... Jesse Henkle
